From RRLUG
Rock River Linux Users Group
RRlug is a diversely talented group of individuals who are interested in Open Source and the computer operating system, Linux. We are completing our tenth year as RRlug. Back in the day, we were called Northern Illinois Linux Enthusiasts (NILE), but were ultimately asked to change the name to minimize confusion because of an older, similarly named lug in Chicago. We have been the Rock River Linux Users Group every since. Along the way we absorbed the membership of two other smaller lugs making us the only lug in the area. We currently have 143 members on our mailing list.
RRLug is located in Rockford, Illinois which is approximately 85 miles west of Chicago. All visitors are welcome, especially those near the Illinois / Wisconsin border. We cordially invite anyone to come out any time to discuss, play, and just have fun with Linux and Open Source Software....
