The September RRLug meeting will be held starting at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 8th. Directions: When you arrive at Rasmussen College take the elevator to the third floor then turn right and walk straight into the meeting room (Boardroom). This months agenda is as follows:

  • Raspberry Pi /GrovePi – Bob Wirka of Realtime Control Works will be demonstrating a Raspberry Pi 3 with a GrovePi I/O board. It has software that allows you to connect the I/O devices schematically to perform control functions. It runs the Sedona Framework VM which allows you to program an application program using a schematic tool. There is a component for each of the GrovePi sensors that you can place on the schematic and then connect with “wires”. Lots of other function blocks available as components. Open source.
  • Boiler Control Project – Gary Melvin  is going to show us the boiler monitor and alert system he has recently developed.  I’ve seen a little of this in the past and its very interesting.
  • Linux News – Bring a Linux news event from the last month and we can discuss it during tonight’s meeting.

Hope to see you all there, particularly since we are going to have some really interesting presentations tonight!
