April Meeting Link

Our virtual RRLug meetings typically run from 6:00 – 10:00 pm and are normally held on the second Thursday of each month. Our next meeting will be on April 09th.

  • Hardware/Software Projects – If he is available Don Merchant was planning on demoing a couple of his most recent hardware / software projects.
  • Discussing Future Technical Preferences – The last few weeks have seen some interest churn in several areas of the OSS community. This has gotten Sam thinking about his future choices.
  • Discussing Significant Changes in the Linux World – Tonight we will try to discuss changes in the F/OSS world around things like Age verification, political limitations, and changes within open office suites.
  • Monthly Security Update – What types of problems have been plaguing the security community during the last month? Always exciting to hear the news!
  • Discuss Future Meeting Topics – Time to look into what everyone is interested in discussing so we can target some purposeful presentations for 2026.

Unfortunately, due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict overlapping the March meeting, we are going to need to cancel the RRLug meeting for this month. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Don’t forget if you are looking for something interesting to try later in the month, Vincent Aune sent out an email notice a couple of weeks back for a prerecorded presentation from the Olivet Nazarene University Center for Cybersecurity Outreach, They will be giving a presentation on using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, packet sniffers, and recon software for packet capture and analysis. If you are in their neighborhood you can attend the presentation on campus at Reed Hall of Science, room 211, at Olivet Nazarene University on Friday, March 20 at 7 pm. I’m assuming there will be a link to a posted video at a later date. Please reach out to Vincent on the list if you have any questions.
