The December RRLug meeting had 14 people attending. We met at the usual time of 6:30pm in the Rasmussen College Boardroom. We had a few new faces in the crowd tonight. As usual we had several different presentations on the agenda.
- Linux Security Device – Sam Williams demonstrated a commercial grade wireless onion router, based on a Raspberry Pi. The device could be used as a secure WAP attached to any network.
- Arduino Uno Development – William Ruehl presented a project he made using an Arduino Uno and developed almost entirely under Linux. The project is a timer for his reloading bench to control his vibratory tumbler. The vibratory tumbler is used to polish brass shell casings prior to reloading. It was a very interesting presentation! Thanks for volunteering Bill!
- Current News – We also went through and discussed F/OSS news items from the past month
It was a great meeting and a nice way to end 2013!
